So, this post has nothing to do with Baby Orr Decor, besides that this is another thing that I can do with my time at home with the kiddos to help stretch the resources the Lord has blessed us with, and hopefully multiply them. What is it?
Bargain Shopping.
I mean serious bargain shopping. I have always been a bargain shopper, scanning the clearance rack and thrift shop for great deals. But this is a whole new dimension of bargain shopping. I have been doing this since June and have enjoyed every minute of it, and have seen a difference in the room it gives us in our budget. So, what is this Bargain Shopping I speak of? CVSing/Walgreens/Major Couponing.
Here is an example. This week I bought all this:
for $ 4.53! And I walked out of the store with a $10 Register Rewards coupon to go towards by next purchase at Walgreens! So, essentially, they paid me $5.47 to shop.
Here's how I did it. I first purchased:
3 Robitussin on sale for $ 3.99
1 Visine for $3.99
I used the following coupons:
3 printable Robitussin coupons for $3 off
1 Visine coupon for $3 off
1 Walgreens coupon for $2 off Visine
For making the purchase of the 3 Robitissin I received $10 Register Rewards. This is a weekly special that Walgreens is doing.
I then took that $10 RR I just earned and went shopping!
I bought:
3 Windex
2 Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Wipes
2 Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber Starter Kit
I used:
3 $.75 off Windex coups
1 $.75 off Scrubbing Bubbles Wipes coup
1 $1.00 off Scrubbing Bubbles Wipes coup
2 $2.75 off Scrubbing Bubbles Action Starter Kit printable coups
I received another $10 Register Rewards coupon for buying 7 of the selected cleaning products.
So, between the two transactions I only spent $4.53 of my money, and walked away with $10 in "Walgreens money" to use on my next purchase.
Hope this is helpful to those of you just getting into this!
It is a blast!
I may post some more deals, so stay tuned!
Any other "Bargain Shoppers" out there? Any good deals you want to brag about?

Great deals! I ended up doing somewhat similar deals that same week - the robitussin and the scrubbing bubbles. It is so invigorating, isn't it, to buy all this stuff for barely any money at all? The only thing is - I'm not sure what to do with all my robitussins! We hardly ever use that particular medicine, but I bought it anyways b/c I 'made' $7! Maybe I can give it away!
